Terms and conditions

1. Scope

These terms apply to the use of Festiroll and to the purchase of a plan. Festiroll is a shared photo album for an event: guests add their photos from their phone after scanning a QR code.

The service is operated by Christian Bromley, 10 Chemin de Vers, 1228 Plan-les-Ouates, Switzerland. To write to us: contact form.

2. Plans and prices

Each album has a plan. Plans differ in the number of guests, the storage space and how long the album is kept. Prices in Swiss francs (CHF):

An album always starts on the Free plan, for up to 10 guests. The organiser can move to a larger plan as long as the album is neither finished nor suspended. They then pay the difference with what they have already paid for this album.

Each plan is paid once per album. There is no subscription.

With a paid plan, storage can be extended:

Extensions add up, to at most 5 years after the guests first see the photos. The Free plan cannot be extended.

The price that applies is the one on the pricing page at the time of payment.

3. Payment

Payment is made online, in CHF, on the secure page of myPOS, our payment provider. You can pay by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Your card details do not pass through Festiroll.

The plan or extension is activated as soon as myPOS confirms the payment to us. You receive a receipt by e-mail.

The site may show an amount in euros, pounds sterling or dollars next to the price. This amount is an estimate. You are always charged in CHF; the amount on your statement depends on your bank.

4. Album duration and storage

The storage period starts on the date the guests first see the photos. The organiser chooses this date.

Seven days before deletion, the organiser receives a reminder by e-mail.

On the deletion date, the photos, guest book messages and prepared downloads are deleted. They cannot be recovered. Download what you want to keep before that date.

5. Organiser's obligations

The organiser creates the album and is responsible for it. They agree to:

6. Guests' obligations

By entering the album, each guest accepts the album rules. In particular:

Each guest remains responsible for the photos and messages they send.

7. Suspension of an album

If a report stays without a decision for 72 hours, the album is suspended automatically.

We may also suspend an album that breaks the law or these terms. A suspended album can no longer be viewed and no longer receives photos.

8. Liability

We do what is needed for the service to work and for photos to be kept until the deletion date. The service may still be interrupted, for example for maintenance or because of a fault.

Photos and messages are sent by the guests and the organiser. We do not look at them or check them before they are published.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the album concerned. This limit does not apply in case of intent or gross negligence.

9. Refunds, returns and cancellation

9.1 Refunds

As long as no guest has added a photo to the album, we refund the full amount paid, on simple request.

Once a guest has added a photo, we only refund if the service did not work because of us.

These rules also apply to a storage extension.

To ask for a refund, write to us through the contact form and give the order number on your receipt. The refund is made through myPOS, to the payment method you used.

If a payment arrives when the plan can no longer be activated, for example because the album has ended, we refuse it and myPOS refunds the amount.

9.2 Returns

Festiroll is an online service, paid once per album. There is nothing physical to deliver or return.

9.3 Cancellation

There is no subscription to cancel.

The organiser can ask us at any time, through the contact form, to delete their album or account. The photos and album data are then deleted. The refund rules above apply.

Each guest can delete all their photos themselves, at the bottom of the album, while the album is open.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Geneva. Mandatory places of jurisdiction provided by law, in particular for consumers, are reserved.

11. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. The new version is published on this page, with its date.

A payment remains subject to the version in force on the day it was made. Personal data is processed according to the privacy policy.
